Kuikka Wilderness Lodge

Kuikka is situated on the shore of Lake Kuikka, 60 km east of Kuhmo centre, close to the Russian border. Kuikka is a well equipped timber lodge. It can sleep up to 40 guests in its 9 rooms. In addition to a normal sauna there is also a smoke sauna. It is also possible to catch your own dinner from the lake and have it prepared for you.

Kuikka is an ideal place for companies who want to arrange a meeting which also gives a memorable experience. If you a brave enough you can take a swim in Lake Kuikka in winter!

During the summer season Kuikka Lodge is a base from where wildlife tours start. In the neighbouring Kuikka there are over 50 birdhouses and several nesting birds such as Tengmalm´s owl, Pygmy owl, Great grey owl, Pied flycatcher, Redstart, Black woodpecker and Great Tit. As the birds are being fed regularly, it is also possible to photograph birds, such as Swallows, Siskins, Bullfinchs, Crossbills, Redpolls and different Chaffinchs, right outside your cottage door.
