The pleasant and brightly lit aquatic oasis of Hotel Scandic Kiannon Kuohut provides the refreshing power of water, pampering and relaxing togetherness. The pools allow you to enjoy swimming, caressing aqua jets, as well as instructed pool exercises and aquajogging. The pool department has a 25-metre swimming pool, children’s pool, massage and therapy pool, jacuzzi and cool pool. The children’s pool has two slides and an aqua mushroom.
In the sauna, the muscles relax and the mind is revitalised. The pool department has two Finnish saunas and one Turkish herbal steam bath. Come and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of the spa, stimulating jets and high standard services. The magnificent landscape that opens up behind the spa is also quite an experience. Here you can experience the healing and relaxing effects of ice swimming. Under the same roof, you will find Scandic Kiannon Kuohut’s accommodation and restaurant services, internet café services, rehabilitation services, beautician salon and hair salon.
Suomussalmi provides outstanding possibilities for sports and exercise. A lit cross-country ski trail taking you to the Haverinen Ski Centre starts right next to the spa and snowmobile routes take you to Ukkohalla and Hossa. The Ukkohalla and Paljakka downhill skiing centres are located less than an hour’s drive from the spa. In the summertime, you can enjoy the picturesque countryside and great excursions.
Please note. According to the preliminary plan, the spa will be closed due to renovation 1st of June 2012. The estimated duration of the renovation is 8-10 months. Accommodation and restaurants as well as physiotherapy and rehabilitation center Kunnoks will be working normally.
